Black and Davison sponsors the Tim and Susan Cook Memorial Race

Since the first race in July of 2004, Black and Davison has proudly sponsored the Tim and Susan Cook Memorial One-Mile Race. The race traditionally takes place on the first day of the Chambersfest festival. The race is in honor of the Tim and Susan Cook, who were tragically killed in an automobile accident in December 2002. All proceeds generated from the race benefit the Tim and Susan Cook Memorial Scholarship Fund, which provides monetary scholarships to two Chambersburg Area Senior High School seniors each year.

Black and Davison has proudly supported the annual Chambersburg Noon-time Lions’ Club Trout Derby for over eleven years.

Jerrold Sulcove appointed to serve on the Board of Directors of the Cumberland Valley School of Music

Jerrold Sulcove is honored to serve an additional three-year term on the Board of Directors of the Cumberland Valley School of Music. Mr. Sulcove was first appointed to serve on the board in August of 2004. The Cumberland Valley School of Music is a non-profit, private music school which provides music education to both children and adults in Central Pennsylvania.

Elliott Sulcove accepts appointment to serve a member of the Board of Directors of the Chambersburg Corps. of the Salvation Army

Elliott Sulcove was appointed to serve as a member of the Board of Directors of the Salvation Army in 2007. Mr. Sulcove was elected to serve as its Chairman in 2008.

Mr. Sulcove also serves on the Board of Directors of the Chambersburg Rod and Gun Club where he was instrumental in the re-establishment of the trap-shooting program.

Jerrold Sulcove presents a lecture entitled “Legal Issues and the Small Business Owner” at the Hanover, Pennsylvania Chamber of Commerce.

On April 16, 2008, Attorney Sulcove presented a lecture entitled “Legal Issues and the Small Business Owner” to individuals interested in starting a business in Pennsylvania. The lecture was part of a series of informational talks presented by the Shippensburg University Small Business Development Center in conjunction with the Hanover, Pennsylvania Chamber of Commerce.

Mr. Sulcove looks forward to presenting this lecture at the Chambersburg, Pennsylvania Chamber of Commerce on October 17, 2008.

Jerrold Sulcove speaks to members of the Institute for Retired Persons about estate planning.

Jerrold Sulcove presented a lectured entitled “Basic Estate Planning” to the members of the Institute for Retired Persons on March 12, 2008. Mr. Sulcove’s lecture focused on wills, powers-of-attorney, and advanced directives for health care, as well as Medicaid and retirement planning.

Mr. Sulcove is a regular lecturer for the Institute for Retired Persons which meets at Wilson College and presents lectures of interest to persons of or nearing retirement age.
