Jan G. Sulcove, Partner

Jan G. Sulcove is a 1968 graduate of Franklin & Marshall College and a 1971 graduate of the Dickinson School of Law. He is admitted to practice in the federal and state courts of Pennsylvania. As a senior partner in the law firm of Black and Davison, he has focused his practice on all aspects of personal injury law, including a wide variety of claims for wrongful death, injuries from automobile, motorcycle, pedestrian, and bicycle accidents, slip-and-fall accidents, defective premises cases, animal bite cases, and injuries from defective products. Mr.

Sulcove provides representation to injury victims in need of assistance in presenting claims to insurance companies for all types of physical and mental injuries resulting from accidents. He does not, and will not, represent insurance companies. In addition to accident victims, Mr. Sulcove provides assistance to Social Security Disability claimants.

 

Robert C. Schollaert, Partner

Attorney Robert C. Schollaert has earned a B.A. degree from Bethany College and his J.D. from Case Western Reserve University. Admitted to practice in the state and federal courts of Pennsylvania and Ohio, he advises in the areas of real estate, estate planning and estate administration. His professional memberships include the American Bar Association, the Pennsylvania Bar Association and the Franklin County Bar Association.

 

Elliott B. Sulcove, Partner

Elliott B. Sulcove is a 1999 cum laude graduate of the University of Pennsylvania Law School and a 1996 graduate with honors from Swarthmore College. Prior to joining Black and Davison, Mr. Sulcove was an associate in the Philadelphia office of Duane Morris LLP. Mr. Sulcove is licensed to practice in the the state courts of Pennsylvania and New Jersey, and in the United States District Courts for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, the Middle District of Pennsylvania, and the District of New Jersey. Mr. Sulcove is also licensed to practice in the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.

 

Mr. Sulcove is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association, Franklin County Bar Association, the Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association, and the Association of Trial Lawyers of America.

 

Jerrold A. Sulcove, Partner

Jerrold Sulcove is a 2004 graduate of Temple University James E. Beasley School of Law and a 1999 summa cum laude graduate of Oberlin College. He is admitted in the state courts of Pennsylvania and the Middle District of Pennsylvania. Mr. Sulcove is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association, Franklin County Bar Association, and the Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association. Prior to law school, Mr. Sulcove was a research scientist concentrating in the field of neurovirology at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. At Temple University, Mr. Sulcove was a member of the Temple University Law Review.

 

Paralegals and Staff

 

Mindy Bowers

Ms. Bowers is the firm's bookkeeper and a paralegal. As a paralegal, she specializes in all aspects of estate administration.

 

Lynann Funk

A long time employee of Black and Davison, Ms. Funk specializes in real estate transactions and trusts and estates, with particular emphasis on title insurance issues.

 

Zoe Peffer

Ms. Peffer is the firm's head title abstractor. She performs title searches, bringdown searches, prepares deeds, assists with real estate settlements, and also assists with secretarial duties. She has been employed with the firm since 1998. Ms. Peffer is familiar with all public records maintained at the courthouses in Franklin, Cumberland, Adams, and Fulton Counties.

 

Jessica Poper

Jessica Poper is an office assistant for the firm, with numerous administrative duties. She is a 2004 graduate of the Hagerstown Business College, where she received an Associate's Degree in Applied Science. She is currently attending Shippensburg University in the Criminal Justice curriculum and plans to graduate in December 2006.

 

Judy Shields

Judy Shields is Black and Davison's head paralegal and bookkeeper. Ms. Shields has many years of experience in the field of estate administration, and has special expertise in the preparation of estate tax returns.

 

Stacy Wagaman

Ms. Wagaman joined Black and Davison in 1994 after obtaining her paralegal degree from Hagerstown Business College in Hagerstown, Maryland. She specializes in all aspects of residential and commercial real estate transactions, with special emphasis on the management of real estate closings and the preparation of settlement and mortgage documentation.
