In 1959, following their service in World War II, George S. Black and Charles H. Davison merged their law practices into a single firm which has evolved into one of the most respected legal organizations in southcentral Pennsylvania. Jan G. Sulcove and Robert C. Schollaert joined the firm in 1971, providing the continuity in quality of service that firm clients demanded. The third generation joined the firm in 2003 when Elliott B. Sulcove entered the practice after four years in the litigation department of a large, center city Philadephia law firm. He was joined in 2004 by his brother, Jerrold A. Sulcove.

Currently consisting of four partners and six support staff, Black and Davison is recognized for the values that were passed on by its founding partners. Commitment to clients, dedication to achieving the best result for every client, every time, and thorough preparation for the challenges that our clients have and will continue to face are hallmarks of the practice. Although a small firm by big city standards, Black and Davison offers the immediate access to firm attorneys, flexibility, intimacy, and excellence of service that the people of southcentral Pennsylvania appreciate. It is the maintenance of these traditional values that distinguished Black and Davison as to the firm of choice.
